We are an Atlanta-based law firm focused exclusively on US immigration. We have immediate opening for an Associate Attorney or Partner for our immigration court practice. The ideal candidate shall have passion and experience in defending immigrants facing deportation for criminal and civil immigration violations, helping asylum seekers find refuge from persecution, and assisting legal residents with criminal and immigration problems obtain U.S. citizenship and assisting immigrant crime victims and survivors of domestic violence in obtaining legal status. Therefore we are looking for someone who have experience dealing with Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Department of Homeland Security. The job duty of the Associate/Partner will primarily represent clients before the Immigration Courts and BIA in removal defense, all applications for immigration relief, criminal removal matters, custody and bond hearings, and contested removal cases.
Fluency in English AND Spanish REQUIRED
Member in good standing of bar of U.S. State
Law degree from an accredited law school required
Mini 1-year of experience in immigration court practice (removal defense, appeals, etc.)
Outstanding interpersonal and advocacy skills, both oral and written
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Sensitive to the needs of culturally diverse clients
Must be willing to relocate to Atlanta area
Must have reliable transportation
