The SharePoint Operations Analyst, under the direction of the Director of Business Information Systems, serves as the initial point of escalation for supporting the SharePoint and Nintex solutions as part of a larger SharePoint Services team. This position plays an integral part in the support of strategies for optimal use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools within the Firm.
In this position, the employee must meet annual security education training and awareness (SETA) requirements. The employee must also assure that information created, acquired or maintained in performance of job duties is used in accordance with its intended purpose – to protect Troutman Sanders information and its infrastructure from external or internal threats – and to assure that the employee complies with Firm Policy requirements regarding information access, classification, security and privacy.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist with testing SharePoint 2013/2016 out-of-the-box solutions, features and add-on tools, including libraries, lists, forms, workflows, and other web/app parts.
Understanding of SharePoint Site Management and Administration functions.
Apply metadata and taxonomy management strategies to classify and search relevant data.
Improve processes and procedures
Document permissions, policies, and business cases for new collaboration sites.
Provide testing support for Nintex forms and workflows.
Follow up with content owners to review content and approve changes.
Work collaboratively with content owners to develop SOPs that describe specific procedures for implementing content changes for internal and external web sites.
Work with content owners to facilitate migration of new and existing business processes to SharePoint.
Proactively participate in empowering Power Users and Champions.
Build solid relationships with internal customers, partners and stakeholders related to the service.
Continue to develop skills, knowledge and keep updated on trends and developments in the industry. This includes meeting annual personal development goals.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
3+ years of experience in an IT environment providing content management support using SharePoint
Strong MS Office skills and integration with SharePoint
Experience in SharePoint content updates using a wide variety of the SharePoint Out of the Box tools
Understanding of SharePoint site administration, permissions, and hierarchical structure
Experience with Nintex or equivalent products
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
Good understanding of information management, enterprise content management, knowledge management, and search
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling confidential materials and matters.
Highly self-motivated and self-driven personality
High degree of flexibility, independent and proactive working style
Ability to work well under pressure and on multiple and conflicting priorities
Strong commitment to quality and timely customer service
Team player; good interpersonal skills, including presentation skills and communication skills at all levels

Education and/or Experience:
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred
Three (3) or more years’ experience with SharePoint
Experience integrating SharePoint Online and O365 preferred
Experience with Nintex or equivalent workflow product integrated with SharePoint preferred
Experience in working in a large law firm
