Responsible for management and advancement of key initiatives related to the recruitment and hiring of entry-level and summer associates.
Manages law student recruitment process. Works to expand effective engagement and ongoing relationships with law school career services offices and law student groups to advance the firm’s brand on campuses.
Oversees law school OCI registrations and all related arrangements, manages candidate preselection process, and designs materials to prepare attorneys for on-campus interviews.
Manages callback interview process, including but not limited to scheduling, greeting and communicating with candidates and selecting attorney interviewers.
Coordinates interview feedback and facilitates the hiring decision process with the Hiring Committee. Oversees production of related correspondence and manages communication with all law student and entry-level associate applicants on behalf of the firm.
Designs, manages, and attends student recruitment events and activities. Prioritizes and coordinates firm’s sponsorship and participation in mock interview programs, career fairs, and other events and opportunities to interact with law students during the academic year.
Develops and executes on resume workshop and other diversity-focused recruiting events. Strategizes and collaborates with Women’s Forum, Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, and firm affinity groups to develop new student-focused events. Manages firm’s participation in activities sponsored by The Boston Lawyers Group.
Strategizes and manages social media initiatives related to law student recruitment, and collaborates on updates to the legal recruiting microsite for students.
Designs and effectively and efficiently manages the firm’s summer associate program, including pre-arrival processes and communications, orientation and training programs, mentoring, social event calendar, work evaluations, and extension of offers.
Develops and manages two-week orientation and training program for new associates.
Manages the budget related to summer program and student recruitment events.
Keeps up-to-date on competitive market information and trends and contributes ideas to further the firm’s recruiting and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Represents the firm in local and national legal recruiting organizations.
Minimum six years of law firm or law school recruiting work experience
Proficiency in the use of computer programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and database programs (e.g., LawCruit, viDesktop)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, team-orientation, and the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels of the firm
Strong organizational skills, superb attention to detail, and self-direction
Ability to multi-task, manage, and prioritize projects effectively
Flexibility and professionalism in responding to shifting demands
Ability to exercise good judgment and to recognize and treat confidential information in a professional manner
