The Jensen Law Firm PLLC is seeking an experienced immigration legal writer for remote writing assignments. The Remote Legal Writer will be responsible for the following job duties under the supervision of staff attorneys and supervisors.
Write support letters and request for evidence responses in support of clients to the USCIS for the following visa types: EB-1, NIW, O-1, L-1, and E;
Collaborate and participate in meetings with Jensen Law Firm attorneys and staff which plan and review case strategies;
Evaluate and organize case materials to best meet visa regulatory requirements, add supplemental case materials from independent research, as necessary;
Consistently meet hard deadlines on writing assignments, discuss with staff on additional materials required to complete assignments with notice prior to due dates;
Research and implement language from visa regulations, adjudicator’s field manual, and policy memorandums into assignments.
Qualifications: Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills; reliable; attention to detail; experience drafting EB-1, NIW, O-1, L-1, and E visa petitions preferred; liberal arts subject degree preferred; New York City or nearby location preferred.
