We have an opportunity for a paralegal to join the Firm’s expanding immigration practice group to support our team from Troy, Michigan. With offices across the U.S. and Canada, Dickinson Wright has a large immigration practice representing corporate clients across a wide array of industries. In this position, you will have an excellent opportunity to work with our team of attorneys and paralegals, as well as, interact with multinational corporate clients.
Prepare H-1B, L-1, TN, E1/E2, E-3, P-1, O-1 and other nonimmigrant petitions and applications.
Prepare immigrant/permanent resident processes filings including PERM labor certifications.
Perform case intake, analyze case documents, and draft correspondences, and/or memos/summaries.
Maintain and organize client documentation, monitor workload and production.
Coordinate timely and accurately regarding case progress and preparation.
Communicate regularly with clients and foreign nationals regarding case filings.
Monitor expiration dates and prepare case status reports for clients using case management systems and programs.
Support the DW Immigration Group with other assigned tasks and projects, as needed.
Use INSZoom Case Management System.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or paralegal certification is preferred but not required.
2+ years of experience as business immigration paralegal.
Demonstrated ability to handle high volume case load while maintaining high level of productivity.
Proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; INSZoom, etc.
Outstanding case/project management and organizational skills are required.
Possess strong writing skills, have excellent attention to detail, be able to multi-task and work independently toward team goals.
Must be able to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.
