We are seeking a highly motivated professional with specialized knowledge and experience in family immigration, humanitarian cases (U/T/VAWA, TPS), and removal defense. Candidates should be bilingual English / Spanish, and have at least three years of experience working in this field.
Some examples of work will include
Drafting motions and briefs with cover letter for immigration Court
Completing forms and applications, assembling cases with filing fees and required evidence
Conducting client meetings to obtain information and evidence
Staying informed of changes in law and procedure, updated forms, and other developments
Working with medical, psychologists, social service workers, and other professionals or experts to assist in strengthening client's case and obtaining supporting documents
Docket control for court proceedings and deadlines control of important expiration dates, filing windows, and other deadlines
data management and client logs regarding administrative requirements such as fee agreements, client file management
Supporting attorney with daily emergent client matters
Assisting clients with case questions, writing affidavits, explaining case status and next steps
Accountability to oversee that case submissions comply with legal instructions and meet requirements for each case type
