About the role

As Product Counsel at Palm NFT Studio, you will bring your imagination, problem-solving skills, and business mindset to help the team launch industry-defining NFT products and services. You will combine your knowledge of intellectual property law, financial services regulations, and passion for working with Product Managers and Engineers to create delightful user experiences. You will identify and advise on best practices in a complex space with few established standards, and work closely with the General Counsel to shape the Company’s product legal strategy. You will also create high-leverage resources for the company that increase efficiency and educate Product and other business teams on legal issues and when to seek advice.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end product lifecycle counseling for NFT-related products and features that Palm NFT Studio is building
• Help Product teams navigate the intersection of NFT user experiences and financial services regulations, intellectual property, payments, consumer protection, data privacy, and contests/sweepstakes
• Advise on the team’s contributions to the Palm network and Palm Creator Collective
• Work closely with other members of the legal team to support its legal and regulatory structure, strategic partnerships and client agreements.
• Work with the business to publish reports, guides, and other thought leadership that helps current and prospective customers
• Lead complex and global cross functional efforts, effectively collaborating with internal stakeholders including Business Development, Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Compliance
• Help build scalable and effective processes for legal review and launch of new products and services globally
• Stay up-to-date on applicable laws and regulations dealing with intellectual property, consumer protection, and financial services and other relevant areas, and help to drive the strategy in response to changing regulatory environments

Required Skills

• 4 to 6+ years of experience as a qualified lawyer in an in-house legal team, top law firm and/or government agency. Must have at least some experience in-house
• 2+ years of experience working directly with product or engineering teams
• Experience advising technology companies on the intellectual property and financial regulatory aspects of product development, preferably in crypto
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, challenging and changing environment with hands-on involvement and excellent judgment
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Excellent project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Creativity, a passion for technology, strong business acumen and a quick study on complex use cases
