Your Opportunity
As an experienced Business Immigration Attorney with a minimum of 10 years of expertise in IV, NIV, or PERM matters, you'll step into a supervisory role that goes beyond the ordinary. You'll be at the forefront, managing client relationships, overseeing case workflows, and leading a dynamic team of paralegals and case managers. Your role as a problem solver and trusted advisor will extend to providing invaluable expertise to both corporate clients and foreign nationals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage an existing portfolio of client accounts.
Develop legal strategies for IV, NIV, PERM, or Consular matters.
Supervise and lead a team of paralegals and case managers.
Review and sign filings prepared by staff members.
Provide guidance on case assessment and respond to requests for evidence, audits, or other government inquiries.
Draft responses and motions to government agencies when necessary.
Report directly to the managing attorney, keeping them informed of client opportunities, issues, and account development plans.
Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in the United States, with a preference for California.
A minimum of ten years of experience in the business immigration field in a high-volume environment.
A track record of managing a client roster with revenue and retention targets for 5+ years.
Experience in managing 3-5 direct reports, such as junior attorneys, paralegals, or case managers.
Proficiency in the entire lifecycle of either IV, NIV, PERM, or consular matters.
Substantive expertise in understanding the rules for IV, NIV, PERM, and/or consular issues.
Proven ability to manage complex issues and communicate them effectively to clients.
Capable of hitting the ground running.
Required Skills
Exceptional writing ability and legal reasoning skills.
Effective prioritization of workload according to client needs and timelines.
Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
Reliability, teamwork, and professionalism when interacting with clients and co-workers.
Ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely to external stakeholders.
Familiarity with Office 365, G-Suite, or other cloud-based document environments.
Document preparation and management skills using Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Proficiency with PC laptops and the MS Windows environment.
