								<description>Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,  Ballard Spahr has a new and exciting opportunity that  can be available in our Atlanta, Minneapolis, New Jersey, Phoenix or Philadelphia office.  As part of a hands-on collaborative team, this position will assist with daily operations for recruiting lateral associates, of counsel, and attorneys through all phases of the recruitment and onboarding processes, and assist on planning orientations and facilitating the integration program for all new hires. The chosen individual will be a detail-oriented, self-starter who will be responsible for posting jobs, drafting and preparing correspondence, data entry, scheduling candidate interviews and preparing candidate materials. The coordinator also will assist in hosting lateral candidates visiting the firm for interviews as well as hosting new hires during orientation. Qualified candidates will have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills. The ability to handle multiple demands, prioritize tasks and respond effectively with competing deadlines is required. The ability to work beyond standard work hours may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. 
 Requirements include a Bachelor&#39;s degree or equivalent experience in a professional environment; prior law firm experience is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required; experience with viRecruit, FileSite and a conference room booking program desired.

 Responsibilities: 
 
 Lead and manage programs related to internal and external diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives including our annual diversity scholarship program. 
 Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders and with our diverse attorneys and staff to identify priorities and challenges for the DE&#38;I team to address. Recommend solutions and action items. Lead DE&#38;I efforts from inception to implementation. 
 Manage data and analytics related to surveys, RFPs, special programs (e.g. Diversity Lab&#8217;s Mansfield Rule), and internal and external data, including partnering with Finance and other internal functions to conduct sophisticated projections and analyses. Track the Firm&#8217;s progress through analyses of quantitative and qualitative data. 
 Provide support and guidance to firm staff and attorneys regarding DE&#38;I issues. 
 Generate recommendations for the development of training content in support of our DE&#38;I agenda and for impactful and topical speakers for the DE&#38;I speaker series. 
 Support law school on-campus interviewing programs and processes including managing pipeline programs, collaborating to organize on-campus outreach activities, and supporting diversity-related technology or events. 
 Partner with our Business Development and Marketing Director to build internal and external DE&#38;I branding. 
 Assist with the planning and coordination of internal and external DE&#38;I workshops, programs and meetings, including but not limited to sponsorships, attendance, catering, audio-visual, marketing, and promotion. 
 Manage the firm&#39;s annual DE&#38;I budget. 
 Provide regular updates to the firm about our DE&#38;I goals, actions, and progress. 
 Speak confidently with clients about Keker, Van Nest &#38; Peters&#8217;s DE&#38;I efforts. 
 Stay informed on DE&#38;I trends, innovation, best practices, and emerging issues and solutions. Establish, nurture, and manage relationships with peer firms, DE&#38;I organizations, consultants, vendors and others who offer access to knowledge and opportunities that will help Keker grow and progress. 
 Job Requirements: 
 
 Bachelor&#39;s Degree required. 
 Law firm or professional services experience preferred. 
 Two to four years of diversity, equity and inclusion experience preferred. 
 Conversant and current in diversity, equity and inclusion best practices and trends. 
 Candidate must have the ability to work independently, exercise discretion and judgment to reach strategic objectives, and be highly motivated. 
 Excellent editing, writing and oral communication skills. 
 Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
