								<title>IT Support Specialist | Masuda Funai</title>

								<description>Chicago, Illinois,  Masuda Funai is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide professional and timely customer service/technical support to all Masuda Funai&#8217;s end users, including implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and software applications and providing end user education. The position works with the Director of IT to support the firm&#8217;s technology infrastructure. 
 Responsibilities 
 
 Respond to hardware, software, telephony, or other IT-related requests from employees in a professional and timely manner; enter and update Help Desk tickets 
 Investigate technical issues and hardware failures and determine resolution, or escalate, as appropriate 
 Order, deploy and install IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, phones, servers, etc., in alignment with firm standards 
 Conduct onboarding and offboarding of employees following the processes established for each department 
 Maintain a current and accurate inventory of IT equipment (i.e., servers, workstations, contracts, vendors, printers, IP&#8217;s, incident log, software) 
 Maintain/update documentation for IT tasks/functions, such as vendor contact list, daily procedures, software upgrades, and installation documentation 
 
 Additional duties for this position may include the following: 
 
 Under the guidance of the Director of IT, support/maintain the server operating system including patching, firmware and repair 
 Assist with network troubleshooting 
 Work with the Director of IT to develop project plans for server replacements, new application implementations and hardware/software upgrades 
 Work with the Director of IT to develop training programs and manuals for firm applications; propose training needs based on analysis of help desk tickets 
 Assist with setup of A/V equipment in meeting rooms or other locations, as needed

 Associate&#8217;s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience 
 Minimum of 3 years of Help Desk/technical support experience 
 Professional services firm experience, preferably with a law firm 
 Windows 10 and Windows servers (2016 and Datacenter 2019) 
 Windows AD network 
 GPO - Group Policy 
 Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, AP&#8217;s, network) 
 Superior customer service skills 
 
 Preferred Qualifications 
 Understanding of and/or desire to learn the following: SCCM (task sequence and packages rollout), Azure tenant, VM&#8217;s, VPN&#8217;s, VMWare, SAN &#8211; Intelliflash, Palo Alto Firewalls, CISCO routers / switches / AP&#8217;s, ARUBA Wi-Fi, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online</description>

 Primary IT lead for system management and security lifecycle including: collecting vulnerability details from vendors, ensure required updates/patches are applied on a regular schedule, and generate status, issue, and risk reports. 
 Responsible for root cause analysis and system resolution. 
 Support hybrid Exchange and Mimecast message services. 
 Conduct systems analysis, requirements, and procedures for improving current and new technologies to include discussions with users to determine functional specifications.

 Develop, manage and maintain technical documentation and change control procedures for proper system security and operations. 
 Experience with automation and scripting languages/techniques such as PowerShell, Windows Command Script, VB Script, etc. 
 Thorough working knowledge of LAN/WAN network stack, security protocols, Azure/AWS services, MS SQL, and other technologies to support both on premise, cloud, and remote end-user environments. 
 Ability to stay organized and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
 Strong presentation skills and the ability to coordinate and work well with a diverse array of customer stakeholders and IT support contractors. 
 Effective and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Exceptional customer service, problem solving skills and problem management techniques for issue resolution. 
 Project management skills and experience. 
 Ability to recognize and react to situations with a sense of urgency and problem ownership with a focus on customer service. 
 Ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision, take initiative, set priorities, follow through and see projects through to completion. 
 
 BA or BS in Information Systems from an accredited University and/or three to five years&#8217; experience in assigned or related field required.. 
 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting on-prem and SaaS systems 
 3+ years of experience designing, implementing, and administering MS365 tenants and associated services (Exchange Online, AD sync, MFA, Teams, SharePoint Online, One Drive, etc.). 
 Prior IT support experience in a law firm or other professional services environment preferred.</description>
