								<description>New York, New York,  Tarter Krinsky &#38; Drogin LLP is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to independently manage a caseload of diverse nonimmigrant and immigrant visas under the supervision of the Partner. &#xa0;The paralegal will be responsible for full-lifecycle case preparation, including soliciting and reviewing information and documentation required for the visa petitions; developing case strategy in conversation with the attorney; drafting the required forms and support letters; assembling petitions for filing with government agencies; and preparing responses to requests for evidence, as needed. This client-facing role involves extensive communication with clients, primarily by e-mail, including foreign nationals and human resources/hiring managers.&#xa0; Responsibilities: 
 
 Prepare and review nonimmigrant visa petitions and applications, including H-1B, L-1 (both blanket and USCIS filings of L-1A and L-1B), O-1, E-2, E-3, R-1, and TN visas. 
 Prepare PERM applications, including developing job descriptions and minimum requirements, submitting prevailing wage requests, orchestrating recruitment, and preparing and submitting ETA-9089 applications. 
 Prepare immigrant petitions, including EB-1 (extraordinary ability and multinational manager/executive) and EB-2/EB-3 petitions and applications for adjustment of status. 
 Prepare other applications, including family-based I-130s and applications for adjustment of status and naturalization applications, as needed. 
 &#xa0;Assist clients and dependents with nonimmigrant and immigrant consular processing. 
 Responsible for Tracker data input and maintaining notifications for expiration and eligibility dates. 
 &#xa0; 
 Required Skills: 
 
 5 &#8211; 7+ years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal, handling all types of business immigration matters in a variety of industries 
 Experience with PERM processing 
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment. 
 Detail-oriented, efficient, and reliable 
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
 Maintains a &#8220;can do&#8221; attitude and a positive team player mentality 
 Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously 
 Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and immigration case management software

 Responsibilities&#xa0;  
 
 Prepare and file U.S. trademark prosecution documents electronically with the USPTO including but not limited to: applications, office action responses, DMCA Notices, assignments and powers of attorneys; 
 Correspond with clients regarding routine phases of trademark prosecution and maintenance matters; 
 Assist attorneys in TTAB filings, i.e. extensions of time to file a notice of opposition; 
 Work with and correspond with foreign counsel in connection with prosecution and maintenance of trademark applications/ registrations outside of the United States, including processing and arranging for payment of bills from foreign counsel; 
 Prepare and record ownership and change of name documents related to trademarks; 
 Conduct due diligence on trademark portfolios; 
 Prepare and file customs registrations and renewals with the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol; 
 Prepare cost estimates for new filings; 
 Assist with monitoring attorney dockets and working with internal personnel to manage deadlines; 
 Record billable hours timely and accurately utilizing practice/firm billing protocols; 
 Perform other duties as necessary to fully meet the requirements of the position based on practice/client needs.&#xa0;&#xa0; 
 Qualifications&#xa0;  
 
 4 to 10 years working in a trademark department with at least 4 years of trademark prosecution related duties; experience with copyrights would be a plus. 
 Excellent academic credentials and attainment of at least a Bachelor&#39;s Degree required. 
 Passionate about learning new skills and intellectual property. 
 Exceptional writing, editing, research, organizational, and analytical skills and attention to detail. 
 Expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

 Summary

 We are seeking a proactive, conscientious, collaborative paralegal with well-honed communication skills (written and verbal), organizational skills, and excellent judgment to support legal, contract management, and grant management work of the Foundation on a full-time basis.&#xa0; The ideal candidate will have experience with and knowledge of contract management processes and workflows, legal recordkeeping, and other project management-related tasks.&#xa0; The work is detail-oriented and time-sensitive, and the paralegal will need to be adaptable, timely, and able to multi-task and work with diverse teams.&#xa0;

 Position Details 
 &#xa0; 
 The paralegal will report to the Deputy General Counsel and work under their general supervision, in addition to responding to requests from all Foundation attorneys.&#xa0; The paralegal will also work collaboratively with the COO&#8217;s team of grant management, grant accounting, and data management staff, as well as staff throughout the Foundation. &#xa0;Among varied responsibilities, the paralegal will: 
 &#xa0; 
 
 Assist the legal team with contract generation, review, and execution. 
 Maintain, update, and track documents in contract management system, including inputting metadata and generating reports. 
 Draft and proofread various legal documentation, such as board resolutions and minutes, memoranda, and correspondence. 
 Conduct research projects, including legal, industry, and historical research. 
 Participate in system-related projects and implementations, such as contract management system updates and a new database system for tracking intellectual property. 
 Participate in the development and updating of policies and procedures, and the preparation of training materials and presentations. 
 Assist with compliance tracking in connection with Foundation&#8217;s governance policies. 
 Assist with proofreading and assembly of quarterly grant docket materials and other board materials. 
 Provide administrative support for attorneys, including assisting with coordination of workflow in the department and scheduling meetings. 
 Complete special projects and other assignments as requested.

 Required Skills and Experience 
 
 A Bachelor&#8217;s degree and minimum 2 years of previous paralegal or similar experience. 
 Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. 
 Technologically savvy, including proficiency in using MS Office Suite and online research tools, and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and systems. 
 Outstanding work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail. 
 Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently, and to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. 
 Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
