 Job Summary: 
 Key Responsibilities: 
 
 
 Provide responsive and strategic subject matter guidance to business and legal teams in support of Accenture Technology Initiatives, including offering and asset/tools development, multi-party innovation, technology ecosystems, and risk management 
 
 
 Support the business team in conducting assessments of new service and product offerings, and preparing those offerings for market, especially in the emerging technology space (e.g., blockchain, quantum, extended reality, etc.) 
 
 
 &#xa0;Collaborate with colleagues across Legal and Quality &#38; Risk to identify legal and regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies 
 
 
 Enable Accenture&#8217;s Research Labs and Innovation Hubs to efficiently handle day-to-day contracting, including developing guidance and providing SME support to deal teams and contracting lawyers 
 
 
 Supporting Accenture&#8217;s Ventures &#38; Acquisitions Legal team and business leadership in the evaluation of prospective acquisition targets and development and implementation of post-merger integration strategy&#xa0; 
 
 
 &#xa0;Manage a global team of Managers and/or offshore resources, including effective team building, process industrialization, and mentoring/developing the skills and professionalism of junior members of the team 
 
 Basic Qualifications: 
 
 
 Minimum 8 yrs. relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting 
 
 
 JD and admission in good standing with applicable bar association(s) (or their local equivalents)

 Preferred Qualifications: 
 
 
 Experience analyzing complex facts and situations to provide risk analysis and mitigation strategies 
 
 
 Experience shaping deals and evaluating innovative commercial models for new product and service offerings

 Job Description: 
 Services Counsel - Applied Intelligence 
 The Global Services Legal team is a strategic business partner and a product counsel for the four Service lines of Accenture, i.e. Interactive, Strategy &#38; Consulting, Technology and Operations. The Global Services Legal team is seeking to appoint a counsel to act as Services Counsel (Counsel) in support of Accenture&#8217;s Applied Intelligence, which is a part of Strategy &#38; Consulting. Applied Intelligence (AAI) is the world&#8217;s largest team of data scientists, data engineers, and experts in artificial intelligence. AAI believes a mix of data, analytics, automation, and responsible AI can do almost anything&#8212;spark digital metamorphoses, widen the range of what humans can do, and breathe life into smart products and services.

 Key responsibilities of the role include : 
 
 
 Supporting the Business as a strategic partner and trusted adviser to enable growth of the Business 
 
 
 Conducting legal assessments of products and services, including identifying risks and related risk mitigation strategies (contractual, operational, technical) 
 
 
 Working with the Business t o identify, manage and mitigate risks, comply with laws and company policies, and undertake ethical considerations in its endeavors 
 
 
 Advising on data privacy issues and responsible use and management of data for B2B and B2C products and services, including artificial intelligence or machine learning technology, digital or targeted marketing campaigns, smart cloud applications, and insight and trend reports 
 
 
 Developing clear communication messages, guidance, templates and trainings regarding the products and services and related use of data for sales and go to market teams, development teams, technical teams and the rest of the Legal organization. 
 
 
 Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating data licenses, complex alliance, academic, and supplier technology transaction agreements related to client facing products and services. 
 
 
 Developing strong relationships with the Business and within the AAI legal team and broader Global Services Legal organization. 
 
 
 Taking on assignments as required by designated AAI Business Legal Lead and AAI Global Legal Lead. 
 
 Basic Qualifications: 
 
 
 JD degree or equivalent degree or legal qualification. 
 
 
 Admitted to the bar (or local equivalent) and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law. A Common Law qualification is preferred. 
 
 
 6+ years&#8217; of relevant attorney experience in the area of technology, drafting and negotiating data vendor, technology and/or OEM vendor agreements for use in B2B or B2C products or services offered to clients (in a law firm or in a fast-paced in-house legal department or military group) 
 
 
 Strong commercial, technology, IP and data privacy experience 
 
 
 &#xa0; 
 Preferred Qualifications 
 Candidates should ideally also have experience in: 
 
 
 Risk identification, analysis, and management relating to products and services;

 The ORC Team is seeking to appoint a senior counsel to act as Global Industry Sector Legal Counsel for the Credit/Lending/Mortgage areas, supporting Accenture&#8217;s Banking and Credit Industry Sector Teams, with a particular focus on the US Region&#xa0; In-house and private practice candidates will all be considered, but experience of working with international teams in support of a global business is a pre-requisite, and candidates with deep industry experience will be strongly preferred. 
 Our Accenture Credit/Lending/Mortgage business helps residential and commercial mortgage lenders and loan servicers restructure and consolidate operations to address changing market conditions and new regulations. We focus on:

 Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management 
 Consulting 
 Residential Mortgage Origination/Fulfilment 
 Residential Mortgage Servicing and Default Management

 You will: 
 You will act as a trusted adviser to the Global Industry Sector Legal Counsel for the Credit/Lending/Mortgage Teams, working to help analyze, advise, manage and mitigate regulatory risks, collaborating with senior stakeholders across the Business, Legal and other Corporate Functions to: 
 
 Undertake regulatory risk analysis and advising stakeholders across Accenture in order to protect client sales and delivery and mitigate risk within existing, new, strategic priority &#38; higher risk offerings and services in the Credit/Lending/Mortgage area in collaboration with all relevant parts of Accenture, including for example Government Relations, Global Legal Services, Responsible Business, Litigation (as needed) to support the sustainable growth of the Credit/Lending/Mortgage Industry and the sales of their services 
 Help evaluate prospective acquisition targets from a regulatory perspective on behalf of the Credit/Lending/Mortgage Global Industry Sector Teams, and work with them to support post-merger integration strategies. 
 Organize and direct the work of the ORC Team so as: to understand and manage regulatory risk in relation to as many market offerings as possible; participate in the offering development early on so as to make them compliant by design with a focus on early intervention and proactive shaping of solutions. Effectively you will be the subject matter expert to the business unit and other staff regarding compliance topics, developments, processes, and offering development life cycle &#8211; also working closely with Compliance to maintain its compliance programs. 
 Be responsible for developing actionable solutions and practical tools / recommendations / guidelines and trainings for ORC. That would include working with the internal compliance team to manage, and maintain a legal/compliance library and assist to monitor laws that includes, but not limited to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, FHA, VA, (Federal and State) laws/regulations. 
 Manage external counsel and external counsel budget. 
 
 &#xa0; Basic Qualifications: 
 
 JD degree or equivalent degree or legal qualification 
 Minimum of 5 years of experience as an attorney providing services to the financial services industry (consumer &#38; commercial lending). 
 Admitted to the bar) or local equivalent) and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law 
 Experience of relevant attorney work 
 Strong commercial, technology, IP and data privacy experience and broad legal knowledge (e.g. spanning employment, litigation, corporate law and governance). 
 
 Professional Skills: 
 
 Strong writing and negotiation skills 
 Good executive presence and the ability to work effectively with the senior business leaders at Accenture, partners from law firms
