								<description>Memphis, Tennessee,  Mid-South Immigration Advocates (MIA) seeks a permanent Executive Director to lead MIA as chief executive in a manner that supports and guides the organization&#8217;s mission as defined by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director will plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with assistance from subordinate executives and staff managers. The Executive Director will also develop and implement fundraising strategies and forecast fundraising estimates for the organization.

 &#xa0; Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) 
 
 Advanced degree in nonprofit management, law, or related field preferred; 
 Prior experience with executive leadership and/or development for nonprofit organizations; 
 Prior experience with immigration law or advocacy preferred; 
 Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and other stakeholders; 
 Passion for creative program creation and organizational funding growth; 
 Ability to review current MIA programs and structures and make recommendations that empower programmatic refinements; 
 Capacity to excel at influencing and leading an organization towards positive growth; 
 Capable of designing and directing strategies that enhance and support organizational operations; 
 Knowledge of fostering an environment of accountability, healthy work relationships and partnerships, and inclusivity among MIA staff in order to maintain a positive and collaborative work environment; 
 Experience in creating and establishing clear, measurable business goals; 
 Strong interpersonal, communication, advocacy, computer, organizational, and presentation skills; 
 Ability to work effectively with a diverse community, including children and families; 
 Must have a valid driver&#8217;s license, insurance, and personal transportation. (Position requires some local and occasional regional travel.) 
 SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS

$60,000 - $65,000/year starting, with increases dependent upon performance and budgetary constraints. MIA offers paid time off, health insurance, disability insurance, and a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan.</description>
