Immigration Attorney (Full Time and Non Remote)
We are looking for a rockstar immigration attorney who gives a sh*t! An immigration attorney that feels confident to be able to handle business immigration cases from start to completion. The ideal candidate enjoys servicing a pipeline of cases together with a team rather than focusing on business development for the firm. The candidate cares about their clients and strives for a positive outcome every time and is willing to go the extra mile to make the journey a pleasant one for the client. We are looking for a passionate attorney who is confident with the following case types: L-1A, L-1B, E-1, E-2, H-1B, EB-1, PERM, EB-2, EB-3 and O-1 and is confident in their ability to manage multiple cases at once.
About you:
You thrive off winning complicated cases, preparing a case with a view to minimizing the receipt of an RFE and if an RFE is received, have the determination to write a winning response to the RFE for any case type. You have the ability to think outside the box and love to strategize alone or with another attorney in the office on how to tackle a complex case, or response to an RFE. You are a strong writer and a stickler for attention to detail. You would be happy to review the work of others in the firm, including the work of paralegals and/or other attorneys. You are adaptable and happy to join consultations with the principal and then lead a case through to completion. You are not afraid to work on something new. You take initiative and are not afraid to suggest alternate approaches and processes where you see an opportunity for improvement. You are organized, and deadline driven. You thrive off making people happy, and the gratitude of thankful clients for a job well done. You enjoy developing professional relationships with the client over the course of a case, by being responsive and offering excellent work product.
Cammisa Markel’s mission is to help people make our clients’ American Dream come true by leading them through the often challenging and anxiety provoking immigration process and making them feel well taken care of along the way. We genuinely care. Our requisite is that you care about your clients, care about your colleagues in the office, care about the quality of your work and outcome of cases, care about your reputation and the reputation of everyone in the office and recognize as a firm we are only as strong as EACH member of the team. You don’t settle for mediocre and you have a non-defeatist attitude. You are always striving to be the best version of yourself, and help others be the best version of themselves. While we need a candidate who is smart, strong, sharp, confident, attentive to detail (these are non-negotiables) a non-negotiable is that they need to be nice.
We are a small firm and we recognize that we spend a lot of time in our week with each other. We all have each other’s back as at all times. There is no competition amongst us – we all elevate and help each other. Someone with this same mentality is very important to us. We will be as selective with our staff as we are with our clients. We are proud to have curated a hardworking but fun and caring environment. All our clients come from referrals from existing clients – so they are all like an extended family tree that keeps branching out and we love that. Our clients are awesome. Our Staff are Awesome. As a result we love our jobs. If this resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you.
