We are a boutique corporate immigration law firm located in Toronto, Canada. We are looking to have an Associate Attorney to join our busy US and Canadian business immigration law practice.
This position can be remote and is a one (1) year contract.
The work involved relates to all aspects of servicing client files, from intake to conclusion. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, the ability to multi-task, be able to meet deadlines, friendly manners, and be reliable and self-motivated. The ideal candidate should be able to show a demonstrated interest in business immigration law. The chosen candidate must be able to work independently and be confident in providing legal advice to clients. Strong interpersonal skills, high ethical standards and the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds is also required. The candidate must be able to utilize knowledge of US immigration law regulations and procedures to prepare the following: I-140 and I-130 Petitions, L-1, H-1B and O-1 Petitions, B-1/B-2, E-1/E-2 and TN Applications, as well as responses to RFEs. Experience with PERMs will be considered an asset. The candidate must have the ability to prepare applications from initial correspondence through to successful achievement of client visas/status.
Completion of either a Canadian and/or US Law Degree is required. The successful candidate must also be a member in good standing with a State Bar. Minimum two to four (2-4) years of US Immigration experience is required.
