The Opportunity:
As the current owner plans for retirement, we are searching for a senior attorney who can seamlessly step into a leadership role, with the ultimate goal of becoming a partner in the business. This role offers a potential path to partnership, providing the chance to build upon the firm’s legacy while making it your own.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with clients in our office to advise on the case and prepare case strategies, including complex strategies for clients with complicated cases
Prepare applications/petitions for immigration benefits and affidavits
Perform legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
Help clients navigate the immigration system, whether with USCIS, the Consulates, or EOIR
Attend interviews and court hearings in San Antonio to represent clients
Supervise and train paralegals and staff
Collaborate with current owner and senior attorney to run the business side of the firm, with a goal to increase firm management responsibilities over time
Bar admission: Must have a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school and be an active member in good standing of any state in the U.S. A Texas license, or willingness to obtain one, is preferred but not required.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant immigration law and/or policy experience. Some federal court litigation experience is preferred but not required.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage a caseload and lead and collaborate with a team. Passion and interest in developing and leading strategic business goals.

Client-focused mindset: Excellent interpersonal skills and dedication to delivering top-notch legal services with a client-centered mindset.
Language: Must fluently speak, read and write in Spanish
