Bradley is seeking a Sr. Project Manager who will be a driver of projects and programs from initiation through completion. They will be responsible for leading large, complex projects and programs involving all IT domains, including but not limited to, third party applications, internal development, security and compliance, infrastructure, networking, systems support, business continuity/disaster recovery, and desktop systems. This will require working closely with each IT department, but also requires working closely with all business units and legal practice sections. The Sr. Project Manager is also expected to contribute to the strategy and roadmap of the PMO. This position can be in any of our current markets: Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Dallas, Houston, Huntsville, Jackson, Knoxville, Montgomery, Nashville, Tampa or Washington DC.
The PMO is currently comprised of the Project Management, Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance teams. The PMO is also largely involved in procurement efforts for the firm. Together we strive to bring firm strategy to life through the excellent execution of projects and the benefits of superior outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
· The Sr. Project Manager will be a key driver of large, complex IT projects from initiation through closing. This will include user-facing and back office projects related to infrastructure, hardware and software deployments. They will be responsible for all logs, task and budget tracking and other project management duties. In addition, they will provide full project management or project management support for administrative departments such as marketing, human resources, office administration, practice management, risk management, and finance.
· The Sr. Project Manager will form strong relationships with the business and internal stakeholders, partner with them to resolve project related issues, provide project status updates and escalate issues and concerns appropriately. They will also form strong relationships with existing and new vendors, working closely with them to ensure timely and quality deliverables from them.
· The Sr. Project Manager will work directly with the Director of PMO to refine, present and execute the PMO strategy. This will include educating all levels of the organization on the benefits of our PMO strategy and how we will bring that strategy to life. This will include presentations and discourse with firm leadership.
· The Sr. Project Manager will expand their knowledge and capabilities to include program management as the department continues to mature. They will continue to maintain their current project management certification(s) and continue to stay abreast of current project management trends and practices.
· This position also includes supporting the Desktop Experience team. This team manages the drivers, patches, utilities and the desktop image, among other things. This often results in a number of small to medium-sized projects, many of which are project managed by IT department managers or technical team leads. The Sr. Project Manager will provide project management education and support to this team, in addition to lightweight business analysis.
· The Sr. Project Manager may be required to perform business analysis functions, such as coordinating and leading focus groups for software under consideration by the firm, requirements gathering and documentation, writing technical or user facing documentation or assisting the Quality Assurance department with user stories, test cases, and related tasks. Some testing of new products as well as working with early adopters, user acceptance teams and similar activities may also be required.
· The Sr. Project Manager will also work closely with the training department to create project training plans. This may include, among other items, reviewing the train the trainer requirements, user training and documentation requirements, and how training fits into the overall objectives of the project.
· Additional key responsibilities include but are not limited to: participation in various meetings and discussions around firm strategy, internal initiatives, IT initiatives, programs and projects; refinement of PMO framework; needs assessments, requirements gathering and stakeholder management; educating our user base on our services, project management methodologies, and our processes, tools and techniques. In addition, the Sr. Project Manager will play an integral role in putting together and managing the IT department budget and also be responsible for IT department contract management processes.
Position Requirements and Desired Skills:
PMP and/or PgMP certification required
Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills
Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop creative solutions in a technical environment
Law firm experience serving multiple practice groups is highly preferred
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience, preferred
7+ years of managing large IT infrastructure/software deployments
IT technical background or several years managing software and infrastructure deployments
Some program management experience a bonus
Accuracy, attention to detail and good organizational skills required
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong time-management skills, ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to pivot as needed
Strong client service focus and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and MS Visio)
Experience with report designing and writing; MS Power BI skills a bonus
Experience with program/project management platforms such as WorkOtter, Asana or similar
Ability to exercise confidentiality, tact and discretion
Various physical activities may be required
Some domestic travel may be required
