								<description>Washington, D.C.,  The Practice Management Advisor assists with delivering advisory services to educate D.C. Bar members who practice in diverse practice settings. &#xa0;The Practice Management Advisor is deemed to have a lawyer-client relationship with D.C. Bar members who are being counseled under the Practice Management Advisory Service (PMAS) under D.C. Rule of Professional Conduct 1.6(j). &#xa0;The Practice Management Advisor also assesses Bar members referred to the PMAS by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel or the Board on Professional Responsibility. &#xa0; 
 &#xa0; 
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES &#38; RESPONSIBILITIES 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Assists in planning and developing educational content, implements the program&#8217;s goals and mission, and administers the fiscal, organizational, and administrative aspects of the PMAS, including preparing operational budgets and drafting weekly, monthly, and annual reports. 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Provides practice management assessments in diversion, probation, and negotiated discipline cases. 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Designs and conducts confidential practice management consultations and provides management advice and counseling to D.C. Bar members to improve their effectiveness and the delivery of legal services to the community. 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Writes and edits columns about law firm management for the Washington Lawyer and other practice management content for the PMAS and D.C. Bar media platforms. 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Develops and conducts in-depth training and education sessions, including CLE courses, for lawyers about creating and growing their own law firms, law firm management, billing, financial management, IOLTA management, technology, and marketing.&#xa0; 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Develops content for and oversees an annual small firm conference event produced by the PMAS and the Bar and in coordination with the Programs Operations Divisions.&#xa0; 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Develops content for and coordinates presenters for a year-round small firm lunch-time series. 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Stays current on practice management and ethical issues related to law practice management, including data security, law office technology, client trust accounts, fees and billing, conflicts management, and other similar issues, particularly related to solo and small firm practitioners. 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Works with other Regulation Counsel programs and Bar departments to create solutions and provide services or content to identified members&#8217; needs for law practice management assistance. 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Performs other duties as assigned.&#xa0;

 &#xa0; MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school. 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;An active member of the D.C. Bar or eligible to become an active D.C. Bar member within two months of being hired.&#xa0; 
 &#8226;&#xa0; &#xa0;&#xa0;Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
