Executive Recruitment Consultant – Business Unit Lead

We are hiring a professional Executive recruiter to join our team to lead, maintain current client relationships, develop new clients for both retained and contingent talent acquisition.  Our recruitment business is focused on building relationships with senior administrators at the world’s leading universities to partner and build their internal intellectual property teams with technology transfer talent. The successful candidate will be able to engage with university leadership and attract first-rate talent to ensure lasting and successful placements. The goal is to exceed clients’ expectations and to add value to their business.  The role is an integral part of our exciting, growing and highly diverse business units in the world of technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Be the lead in all activities of a growing executive search firm reporting to the CEO of our larger business.
• Be an active member in our growing management team to network, build brand awareness and cross sell our suite of services within our industry.

• Partner with leading university and research institutions throughout the world to successfully meet their strategic hiring needs by either bespoke retained search or contingent hiring avenues.
• Implement targeted research strategies with role mapping, position description and client document specifications.
• Track and identify prospective candidates using a variety of channels.
• Assess candidates to ensure qualification match, cultural fit and compatibility.
• Conduct confidential interviews and deliver shortlisted candidate profiles to the client team.
• Offer guidance and facilitate the negotiation process through to its completion.  Act as an advisor to both client and new hire during transition and onboarding phase to build long term client relationships.
• Become a go-to recruitment consultant in our industry by networking and participating in large university and research institutions associations and consortium programs.

Skills

• Minimum of five years of proven successful consultative recruiting experience.
• Deep understanding of recruitment processes and the technology transfer industry with experience in recruiting PhD, JD or MBA level talent.
• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, recruiting software and candidate databases.
• Strong knowledge of candidates selection methods.
• Previous experience with candidate sourcing tools and methods.
• Excellent knowledge of technology transfer area of expertise (market status, trends, best practices)
• Client focus along with relationship building skills
• Business acumen and market insight
• Effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills
• Integrity and confidentiality
• BS degree in Human Resources or related field

Job Types: Full-time, Contract – attractive salary and commission plan based on experience. Stock options for an exceptional candidate.
