Alaska Airlines is seeking Corporate Counsel to join the Legal team. This individual will be an expert in the companies’ portfolio of litigation and regulatory matters. As an individual contributor, this role defines and supports long-term strategy for the in-house legal team and exercises considerable latitude and initiative to solve case matters, including assessing risk, selecting and managing outside counsel, and overseeing discovery and motion practice.

• The Corporate Counsel supports AAG’s antitrust, anti-corruption and data privacy compliance programs, implement and update required training, and manage continued compliance and diligence of outside vendors, as well as providing business advice.
• Senior Corporate Counsel defines and influences AAG’s antitrust, anti-corruption and data privacy compliance programs, implement and update required training, and manage continued compliance and diligence of outside vendors, as well as providing business advice.

Corporate Counsel Required:

• 7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, consumer class actions, products liability, securities, regulatory enforcement and investigations, labor and employment, or related area.?
• Juris Doctor degree from leading law school, with strong personal academic credentials.
• Membership in good standing in at least one state bar, preferably Washington State.
• Experience a law firm, in-house, or government attorney role.
• Proficient in understanding and knowing how to apply rules of privilege in a corporate setting.
• Ability to think quickly on your feet, convey grace under pressure, find practical solutions and simultaneously manage workloads, multiple client demands and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, highly detailed environment where flexibility is key.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities, judgment, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate with colleagues as needed regarding issues outside of primary practice area.
• Demonstrate high standards for professional integrity.

Sr. Corporate Counsel Required:

• 10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, consumer class actions, products liability, securities, regulatory enforcement and investigations, labor and employment, or related area.?
